Individual Psychotherapy and Consultation
Dr. Avantika Bhatia
I am Dr. Avantika Bhatia. I am a PhD level Psychotherapist currently living in London.
Deciding to start therapy and finding the right therapist can be a challenging process. On this website, you will find information put together with the aim of helping you decide whether therapy, and therapy with me in particular, will be a good fit for you.
I am a psychotherapist currently based in North West (NW) London, UK. I am Indian by origin and have worked as a psychotherapist in the United States, India and the UK. As a result of these experiences, I bring to my practice an understanding of working with people with diverse identities and concerns. I work with young adults and adults on a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, eating disorders, parental concerns, life transitions, mental health during pregnancy and postpartum.
As a therapist, I aim to build a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. I work closely with clients to understand their goals, so I can tailor treatment plans based on each client’s unique needs. I focus on deepening my clients’ understanding of themselves, with the goal of helping clients experience the sense of empowerment and freedom that often comes with deeper self understanding. I am drawn to help people find ways to live the life that seems most meaningful for them. I can meet for individual therapy sessions online, through video call, or in-person in Queen’s Park, NW6.
